Balancers
Water balance is important as it ensures that the mineral content of the water is in an appropriate state to protect the pool surface and equipment and make water more comfortable to swim in. Water balance is affected by a wide range of variables – the quality of the source water, what chemicals are added to the water, the exposure of the pool to weather conditions and so on. A proper balance of chemical factors such as total alkalinity, pH and calcium, is needed for the sanitiser to work correctly, the water to be pleasant to swim in, and to prevent scaling or corrosion of the pool surface and equipment.
Pool Acid
BioGuard Pool Acid is a liquid product designed to decrease pH and Total Alkalinity levels in pool water. This prevents cloudy water, scale formation and high acid demand.
Balance Pak 300
BioGuard Balance Pak 300 is a soluble calcium hardness increaser. It increases calcium hardness, prevents etching and roughness of plaster finishes from low calcium & prevents corrosion of equipment and metal fittings.
Balance Pak 200
BioGuard Balance Pak 200 is a soluble pH increaser that is suitable for all pool types. It prevents corrosion of equipment and metal fittings, etching of concrete and grout, and wrinkling of liners as well as eye irritation due to low pH.
Balance Pak 100
BioGuard Balance Pak 100 is a soluble powder protects the pH from being influenced by factors such as rain, swimmer load and other chemical application. It also helps prevent corrosion of equipment and metal fittings and can be used in both salt and chlorine pools.
Lo’N’Slo
BioGuard Lo’N’Slo is a granular product designed to decrease Total Alkalinity and pH levels in pool water to prevent cloudy water, scale formation, high acid demand and poor chlorine efficiency. It is easier to use than liquid acid (hydrochloric acid, muriatic acid) and is also storage and transport friendly.
*As it is a dry acid. It is a granular, not a liquid. As such it will not splash when added to pool water, and if it spills it can be brushed up. It if is spilled or touches your skin, it can be safely brushed away without risking immediate burns.
Stabiliser
BioGuard Stabiliser is a granular cyanuric acid that prevents chlorine loss due to sunlight. This reduces chlorine consumption, and maintenance costs and is ideal for outdoor swimming pools with nearly all chlorination methods. (*not suitable for use with Brominating Tablets).
Liquid Stabiliser
BioGuard Liquid Stabiliser, stabilises chlorine to protect from UV loss. It mixes in water instantly, and can be applied directly into pool water or into the skimmer. Using this product reduces chlorine use and maintenance costs. You can easily apply directly into pool water, or into skimmer and is ideal for all outdoor pools.
